Merry Christmas??? Even with what happened!

Yes, my hand is in a splint!! On Christmas Eve we were over at Gramps house. We had opened gifts and visited for a while. It was time to leave and I said"Kelly give me a hand and help me up. She has helped me up a million time before!!! She reached down and took my hand between my little finger and the palm of my hand and pulled! I said Kelly, that hurt!! When we got out and into the truck I looked down at my hand and there was a goose egg bigger then a lemon almost the size of a orange!!!

Karen said, "You are going to the ER"! They took ex-rays and I have a hair line fracture in my hand. They could not put it in a cast because of the swelling. Kelly felt S0000 bad!! Of course Kelly's siblings said, 'Way to go KELLY, brake Mom's hand on Christmas Eve!!

I have to go to the Dr. this week and see if they can put it in a cast.

Other then that I had a wonderful Christmas!!

  1. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my gosh! Good grief! Poor you! Poor Kelly! I know she felt BAD! Honestly Carolyn... (as my mother in law says)... if it's not ONE thing it's TWO! LOL! (don't know where she came up with that!) But you are just having one thing after another here lately! I don't know how you keep going! I'd be ready to crawl into bed and never come out! You're an angel! That's what you are!

  5. Oh sweet heart! Poor you, poor Kelly!
    Your attitude is precious.
Is the easy breakage a sign of a greater need. Have you had a bone density test. Perhaps that might even be a good thing come out of this.

  6. Carolyn. What next?!!! Awwwww, Kelly, that just couldn't be helped, I'm sure. Don't feel badly.

I remember one time I helped my dad up from a chair, and I pulled him up too quickly and he got dizzy! That scared me to no end.

You heal well now, y'hear? Hope your holiday was filled with joy and laughter!!!

  11. I am so sorry about your hand, but a hariline fracture should heal rather quickly, I would think. Enjoy the time recuperating now. It will give you a little break from your everyday work, and we could all use a break right about now.

Do hope you had a wonderful holiday!

Wishing you a wonderful and healthy 2009!

  14. Oh, I know Kelli felt so bad about that. When we get older, our bones become brittle and break much easier. Is that the hand you eat with? Just kidding! Feel better soon.
