Not A Good Report

Look what I got in the mail from Mary!! How cute is this!!! Thanks Mary!!Friendship is a light in the darkness!! This sure did cheer me up and I am so glad to have all your friendship's out here in Blogland! This was just what I needed I was so down this afternoon and this helped me!

On not a happy note tonight, we took Nancy to the Dentist Specialist today and we didn't get a good report. He said he is unable to take her to the hospital and take any teeth out because of all the infections in and under her teeth due to her lupus and her lung disease. They took a new round of ex-rays and it showed that in the past year her teeth have deteriorated really bad. She is on very strong medicine for infections.
He said he wasn't sure she would make it through surgery and he didn't want to risk her life. He is calling another dentist to see if he could take out at least 2 teeth by a local.
She needs 8 teeth out and another 8 filled. He said he didn't want to stir up her infections and bacteria to go through out her body. So he didn't know if the other dentist will want to risk this or not. They are going to talk this over.
I keep thinking she is better but really she just isn't any worse still a very sick lady.

I was very upset tonight and couldn't post when I first came home because like I said I think things are doing better and then really are not very good at all. I sure would appreciate your prayers for her and me, too. I try always to keep my blog and post on a positive note but tonight is not one of them!

Oh Grams... I'm so sorry. It's amazing how eagerly our minds want to believe in "better"... when just not worse is all we get. I know exactly what Nancy's teeth and gums are like -- that's what MINE were like before I had them out -- and it's NOT a comfortable place to be. I'm sure she's having a hard time eating. At least certain foods. I know my mouth was very painful. And I, of course, did NOT have the added conflict of the Lupus. She is certainly in my prayers... I do hope they find a solution for this problem!

Good Morning Grams,
"CONGRATULATION'S" on the Friendship Award that Mary sent you. She sent me one too and I forgot to post about it this morning. I'm so sorry to hear that about Nancy. I will be keeping Nancy and you in my prayers. I do pray that the other Dentist will be able to take at least 2 of the teeth out. Just keep your head up to Heaven. GOD never puts on us anything that we can't handle. GOD will see you and Nancy both thru this. Of course you have all of your blogging friends here praying for the both of you as well. Take care my friend and try to have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Carolyn....you, Nancy and ALL in your family certainly have my best thoughts and am saying a prayer that something good will come of this!!! I'm so so sorry to hear it.

And don't worry about being negative...you certainly have every REASON to feel down and out. It takes a toll on us all when we know that all's not well, and we find that writing about it helps.

Grams,
No wonder you feel so blue... that is tough...
Some how we feeling like a "basket case" gives us a chance to float down the river for God to catch us... swoop us up in His arms, dry us off and love on us...

but oh my, until then... it's a tough ride...

Praying and loving on you my friend...

Well we all get down sometimes and what are friends for. We're here for support. I'm sorry about the situation with Nancy. I am glad however that you have a dentist who is honest with you about things. Hopefully they will be able to do it with a local.

Dearest Carolyn,

I'm so sorry to hear that the visit to the dentist didn't turn out very well. Poor Nancy, one can't even imagine the pain she must be in. To me there is nothing worse than infection of the gums and teeth! My prayers are with both of you...hopefully something can be done to help her. xoxo

Oh Grams, I am so sorry. I know you must be worried sick about what to do. I hope the medications will be strong enough to kill the infections so they can do what they need to do.

Praying for you and Nancy.

Hello, I am catching up on the news of all of you and see that you are challenged as is Nancy. How very sorry I am to hear of it. You know sometimes it is more the liability that doctors are dreading. Perhaps this might be the case here a little.
Wow to have need for so many to be pulled. Does the hospital have a list of those who have license to practice at there facility? That poor baby having so much infection. I will keep you and her in my thoughts and prayers.
