Merry Christmas??? Even with what happened!

Yes, my hand is in a splint!! On Christmas Eve we were over at Gramps house. We had opened gifts and visited for a while. It was time to leave and I said"Kelly give me a hand and help me up. She has helped me up a million time before!!! She reached down and took my hand between my little finger and the palm of my hand and pulled! I said Kelly, that hurt!! When we got out and into the truck I looked down at my hand and there was a goose egg bigger then a lemon almost the size of a orange!!!

Karen said, "You are going to the ER"! They took ex-rays and I have a hair line fracture in my hand. They could not put it in a cast because of the swelling. Kelly felt S0000 bad!! Of course Kelly's siblings said, 'Way to go KELLY, brake Mom's hand on Christmas Eve!!

I have to go to the Dr. this week and see if they can put it in a cast.

Other then that I had a wonderful Christmas!!

Happy Birthday Kelly!! And No Sodium Diet means weight loss!!

Happy Birthday to my Dear daughter Kelly! She has been a blessing to all of us in our family and friends!God gave her a servant's heart and a loving spirit she shares with all of us!

I am doing better and on this NO Salt diet and I mean NO Salt, well I guess I get some 2000 mg a day. But when you count them up they go fast!! The wonderful side of this is that I have lost 13 pounds from watching my sodium intake! The other benefits is that I got rid of the fluid on my lungs and can breathe so much better! The other is the swelling in my feet has gone down and this is really a good thing!

This is why I haven't been out visiting much, is if I sit to long at the computer they start to get big as balloons!!

I am going to try to start reading your blogs but not leave comments, and see how that goes! So if you have one of the counter deals that tells you who has been to visit you and you see I have been there and not left a comment you will know what I am doing.

Some of my blogging buddies told me it would be a little easier if I would visit 5 blogs each day and leave a comment and that way in a week or so I could make my rounds. So I am thinking that sounds like a good idea! After the first of the year I will see if I can do this!!

Some of you have asked about my special needs daughter Nancy and how her health is doing. We go to the Kansas City Cancer Center every other week since June for the lupus. Nancy's blood count is going up and this is good.

She really gets into the Christmas spirit because she is like she is between 5-10 years old, so she loves Christmas! She loves to give gifts and we have to hold her back or she would give everyone she knows or would like to know a gift!!But maybe she really has the right Christmas spirit!

Pictures of our Christmas Tree!!

I wanted to share the pictures Kelly took of our 3 foot live Christmas tree!! Kelly bought it for me! She has only had 3 live trees since she was born.
Yes, Kelly does have a laptop but we can't shut the lid or move it one drop or it doesn't work!! So we are just happy at this time to be able to have a working computer!! The tree now has pretty decorations under it!
This is my new, well new to me love seat that Kelly got me for Christmas. If I had known that our coffee table looked so lived in I would have picked up a little!! The Kitty Cat is Myrtle . She is Karen's cat but she lives with us! We have one more cat who is huge, Zeke . He has long brown hair and very gentle.
Have I shared that Karen has lost 115 pounds!! She is looking so nice! Kelly has lost 60 pounds! She looks great, too!!
Well, Boy Oh Boy, is this fun being able to post about something beside my health!!! I am losing weight too but that is because of the medicine I am taking for my kidneys.
I have been working on getting out Christmas cards and my special needs daughter, Nancy loves to send and get cards. All through the year when we are at Doctor's offices she asked for every one she meets and talks to for their address and tells them she will send them a Christmas card!! So,I have addressed 30 Christmas cards just for her!! She wanted to send more, but I had to cut the list down because of my health this year. It gives her so much joy to send these out that I can't bear to not do this!!

I have been to the Doctor's for my test on my heart and GOOD news! I have no blockage in my arteries in my heart and no fluid in there either! Praise God!
I have lost 10 pounds in 5 or 6 days so some of the swelling has gone down. I am breathing better and the top of my lungs are better! There were crackles in the bottom of my lungs but I am sure they will get better!
The kidney specialist put me on a 2 Gram Sodium diet which is 2000 mg a day and does that go fast!!! Every thing on earth as salt in it!! But I am following it!!
I really want to Thank you for your prayers! You all have been a wonderful Blessing to me!!

We were able to get a little live 3 foot tree up and decorated. When I am able I will post pictures of some of our Christmas decorations.
We had snow today!
I had a wonderful hone call from my friend
Mary on Monday! This was a wonderful gift of her time! I appreciated it so much!!! We were able to get to know each and it was like we had been friends for years!!
Yesterday Glo called me and this was great so I could find out how she was doing. She has had some serious health problems too. She is doing better.Praise God!

Scriptures for Healing

Mom wanted to share these with you, a friend of ours sent these to her to build up her faith...

Psalm 30:2 (New Living Translation)
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health.

Restore means:
To bring back to a former, original, or normal condition, to bring back to a state of health, soundness, or vigor. (

Psalm 103:3 (New Living Translation)
3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

Psalm 107:20 (New Living Translation)
20 He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.

(Amplified Bible)
20 He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.

Psalm 118:17 (New Living Translation)
17 I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the Lord has done.

Isaiah 58:8 (New Living Translation)
8 “Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind.

(Amplified Bible)
8 Then shall your light break forth like the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your right relationship with God) shall go before you [conducting you to peace and prosperity], and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.(A)

Jeremiah 17:14 (Amplified Bible)
14Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.

Jeremiah 30:17 (New Living Translation)
17I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord.

(Amplified Bible)
17For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says the Lord, because they have called you an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no one seeks after and for whom no one cares!

1 Peter 2:24 (New American Standard Bible)
24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

3 John 1:2 (New American Standard Bible)
2Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

More Health issues!

I had my labs this morning and I was having a hard time breathing so I asked them to check my oxygen level and it was low! The nurse said I needed to see the Dr. and he ordered a chest ex-ray and it showed that I have fluid on my lungs.
He gave me a prescription for some kind of pills which Kelly will pick up this afternoon. Then I will know what kind of pills I am taking.

My kidney specialist is suppose to call this afternoon about the swelling in my feet.

I have to have a echo cardiogram the last of the week to be sure my heart is OK.

I sure am Thankful for all your prayers and your concern for me!! And putting me on your prayer list at your church!! You will never know how much this means to me!! I tear up just thinking about how much you all care about each other.

I am just going through a bad time now, but I will get well!!!

Needing More Prayer!!

It is snowing here today! Not a lot but enough to feel like Christmas!
Well, since I wrote my last post things got hard!! I don't think I told you all that the kidney specialist told me to drink more water.
SO I did!! Oh My!! Each evening my feet were a little more swollen until Friday night and they were so swollen that in a couple places they cracked and bled. Not good! Karen and Kelly cleaned them up and propped them up with pillows.
I called my Doctor and they told me he said to call the kidney specialist. The Kidney special is out of his office until Monday morning.

I have labs this week so Please keep praying that the creatine will go down! THANKS!! IF they don't that means you have permanent kidney damage and will have to be on dialysis in time.
I have one more deal..... My body must be making insulin! This week my blood sugar has fell to 40 twice and the worst was the night before Thanksgiving when it dropped to 31 and everything was going dark. My Doctor has decreased my insulin but it is still falling but not as bad.
I hate to make this into a medical post but I need your prayers so much!! I must get well!!
I was able to go and visit some of you a little on Wednesday but I had to stop because of the swelling in my feet.
So I need to get well for many reasons but one reason IS I love to blog!!

She brought me back the cutest Ginger Bread Boy who is a Texas Cowboy!!

Hello All My Sweet Blogging Friends!

Since I have been under the weather Kelly has got a new do!! She has lost 3 dress sizes!! This is Kelly and her great-nephew Marcello.
Well, I don't know if I am suppose to be on here yet or not!!! But I just couldn't stand seeing my side bar with all the Halloween stuff still on it so I had to do a little house keeping on it!! While I was doing that I thought I would do a quick post!!!
I am feeling a lot better but my blood pressure is still to high. Nancy and I had labs this morning. This is to see if creatine levels have gone back to normal. I will be seeing the Dr for a visit next week and then we will know how every thing is comming along!
I sure want to Thank everyone for their many prayers on my behalf!
This turned out to be pretty rough! But I think I have turned the corner now and things are looking up!! I will post when I find out what the Dr. has to say!!
Nancy wants everyone to know she got a new hair cut, too!!

Update on mom

It's Friday night and I'm taking dictation from mom over the phone...... Here goes....

Thanks to everyone who's been praying, I appreciate it soooo much. I got to come home late on Wednesday night by promising to have lab work done first thing on Thursday morning at my primary caregiver. Which I did and found out my kidney's still haven't bounced back, the creatine level is still high, like at the hospital. Waiting to get direction from the doctor. But drinking LOTS of WATER in the meantime...

Still don't feel like myself, but getting better everyday.

Will post when I can, but wanted everyone to be updated.

Mom's In the Hospital

Mom went in the other day for a second round of angioplasty. They did the stint thing, 2 places in her hips, both kidneys, and couldn't do the right leg, it was too hardened. She can have a bypass done, in the future, if she chooses to, but isn't an emergency since there's ancellory flow around the blockage.

She also had complications because her creatin level was high and her kidneys weren't through putting so they've decided to keep her overnight -- again.

She (we) would like your prayers.

Friday and its Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween! When I saw Charlie Brown and the gang's icon, this is the one I wanted to use. It was on TV the other night and it is one of Nancy's favorite Holiday Specials.

I am always amazed when they still show Charlie Brown's Christmas Special with the real Christmas Story!

Nancy and I will be passing out candy tonight. We always have a bunch of kids at our house and I love to see the little ones! I think the Great Grand kids will be going out to their church for a big Fall Festival! I told them to bring the kids over on the way!

The Baptist are having a Treat or Trunk and pulling there cars and pickup in their parking driveway and decorating the trunks and then passing out candy to the kids who come by for a safe place for them to go.

When my son live near he always brought my grand kids over for treats and that was so fun. They are all grown up now!! The time went way to fast!!

I babysit tons of kids through the years and they used to come by too! But they are all teenagers or older now!!!

Carrie has lived in Mexico all the years the other grand kids were growing up so I don't remember a Halloween with them!!! That is why I so enjoy seeing the Great Grand kids!!!

It is really pretty here! The temp. was 73 degrees today! We have leaves all over the yard and I love the sound of the kids walking through them and the crunch crunch sound!

Karen as Paula Dean Kelly as Rachel Ray!!

What Your Love of Snickers Says About You

You are a very popular person. People can always find something about you to like.

You are friendly and approachable. It's easy to feel comfortable around you.

You are lively, playful, and sweet. But you are also substantial too.

No matter what the situation is, you are good company... and the ideal best friend.

I did one of these Deals you take to find out silly stuff about you! If you choose Snickers it says really good things about you!!! I love Snickers!! I just can't have them anymore!!
We had lab work for Nancy this morning and seeing the Dr. She doesn't have to see this Dr.again until January!! I love this! We still have lab work twice a month but that only takes a few minutes.

Karen and Kelly went to the annual Halloween Party. I shared their pictures last year but after all the weight loss they are really looking great! Karen was Miss Paula Dean! Kelly was Rachel Ray!

Jer. 30: 7 For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says the Lord,

"Restore" means to take back to the original intended design, plan, purpose, and function.
This scripture was sent to me this week by a friend and it has been a blessing to me! So I am sharing it with you too. There are so many out there suffering with one thing or another and I think this is a very good Bible Verse to hide in your heart and to hang on to!! Go Here to join in for the Super Sunday post.

A lovely gift from Pea's Birthday Give a Way!!! Up date on my procedure

When Kelly came home from work she had this package with her. I was thrilled because it was from Canada and from my dear friend Pea from over at Pea's Corner and I knew that this was the give- a- way prize I had won for Pea's Birthday Tea!!! I was so excited I could hardly wait to get it opened!

Pea had enclosed an adorable card with this cute kitty!

Also a beautiful lei

Two beautiful Tea Cups

With a package of Tea!

Napkins too!

With a tiara and a lei and a lovely tea cups I

am ready for you all to come join me!!

I looked up at my hutch and there is my swan. I think it would

match my new tea cups perfectly !

Won't the tea cups and my swan look so beautiful together!!

Thank you Dear Pea for all the lovely gifts!! I love them!!!!

What a wonderful Birthday Tea you had for us!!!

Thanks for all your Sweet comments and prayers while I have been getting over this procedure. It turned out a little rougher then I thought it would be!! Understatement! I was so sick when I woke up on Friday morning with fever, chills, and nausea. The Doctor had put long stents from my hips to my knees which made my arteries go, what is that flowing through us!! SO I ached! and ached! He had to put a lot more stents in my left leg then he thought he would at first. But this is Monday and I am so much better and feeling better every day.

I will be going back the first week of November to get my right leg done and the arteries by my kidneys! The Doctor said I would be on dialysis in a year or so if we didn't take care of the arteries there!
So we will!! Thanks again!
