Back From the Doctor!

Girly Comments & Graphics
I have missed you all!! I went to the Doctor this morning and he had the ex- ray tech take a picture of my shoulder and arm. It turns out that the two little bones at the top of my shoulder are almost rubbing together. Bone on Bone. It has arthritis in it but with a bursitis flare up. He wanted to put a shot of cortisone in it but I said ,Please try pills first! The last time I had a shot of cortisone two years ago, I had a full blown period!! Seeing how I am almost 70 this is the pitts getting a period at this age!! So we are trying pills first!!

I have some gentle exercise for my arm so it won't freeze up! Crossing my arm and touching my other shoulder, lifting my arm in the air, trying to put my arm behind my back!! I have fingers that have froze up and I can't bend them to touch my palms.

While I have been gone I have received two more lovely awards! One from Mary and the other one from Hootin Anni!! Thank you so much!!!
Thanks to everyone who has been praying! Your prayer have been a blessing, helping me day by day!! and at night too!!!!
When I am able I will leave comments again! I am reading your blogs!!

Good Afternoon Grams,
"THANK YOU" for stopping by and commenting when your arm is hurting. I am glad you are back from the doctor. Those Cortisone shots do work quicker, but I totally understand you wanting to try the pills first. I just LOL when you said the last time you had a Cortisone shot that you had a full blown period. I can't believe a shot would do that. Do they make shots for you to stop having a period? LOL. I'm sorry, that wasn't right. But as you know, I do have trouble with mine. Hopefully the pills will kick in pretty quickly. "CONGRATULATION'S" on the Awards you received. You know you are most deserving of each Award you receive. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. I will continue to pray for your arm for quick healing.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Gosh, I hate cortizone shots myself...I had to have one in the bottom of my heal once...I screamed so loud the doc thought I was having a heart attack, but what did he expect that needle felt like a 10 penney nail in my tender flesh!!

I hope the pills help you sweet Gran!

Ohhhhh I hope those pills work! I can't imagine they will work as FAST as the Cortizone would though... But I'm PRAYIN! And in regard to Tammy's comment -- I too have had cortizone in my foot -- and will NEVER allow it to happen again! But cortizone in the shoulder is a whole 'nuther story -- you don't even FEEL it!!! It's AMAZING!

Grams: I have been away from blogging because I have been with my new grandchild. I know what it means to be a "Grams" now. I checked in to see what the Dr. said and am so glad you have gotten some help. I am only 54 but have had arthritis for over 15 years. Cortisone usually does the trick for me, but I can certainly see why you opted out - I think I'd rather hurt. HE, HE!! Hope you're feeling so much better soon. It's good to have you back.

Now Grams....you just don't fret about feeling you have to leave a comment for me....you know how I feel. Just get yourself all better so you can eventually be 'good as new'....and please, no corizone. :::giggles::::

I pray the pills work. Any way to avoid a shot of anything works for me too.

Well, I'm glad you went in to take care of things. I pray that the pills and exercises work for you. Good to have you back.
Peace & Love!

Grams,

I hope the pills take care of it so you don't have to take the cortisone shots. I can't imagine having a monthly after all those years. That would be horrible. I was glad when I had my hysterctomy. That part of womanhood was something I could do without.

Get well and take care of yourself.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Grams,
So glad to hear from you! I'm praying the pills and the exercises will help. I always say my age in numbers really doesn't bother me but the fact that my body is falling apart does!! Please feel better soon.

I just wanted to pop in and say hello and see how you're doing. I've been out of commission for a few days but hoping to get back to posting tomorrow.

Come see me soon! I'll be back to check on you! :)

Hugs,
Hope

hope you are feeling better. I don't blame you about that shot. Had one of those once and my knee was more messed up after that. Don't like those things.

I'm so glad you went to the doctor! I'll have to tell Rich that he's lucky his cortisone shot only hurt at the time and that it didn't cause him to have a period ;) Hee hee!

Hope the pills kick in and the exercises work. Although I do wonder how exercises and pills can help if you have bone rubbing on bone. But, what do I know?

Take your time with getting back to commenting. I miss you, but want you to heal!

I know that you wanted to stay away from the shot but I tell you it would help you in just a day or so. I have had this many many times in my life and the cortisone will help you with the pain and everything. I hope the medication works...it is going to take longer though. Glad that you went to the doctor. Sandy

I know about bone-on-bone arthritis. My knees are shot. Hey, I found on another blog where you commented and mentioned Roger and Faith Perkin. I went to New Life A/G in Oak Grove when they pastored there.

Small world, eh?

Oh, you also mentioned Judy B in that comment. If it's the Judy B I know in Oak Grove (real short lady?), I love that little woman dearly. She knows me.

Good Morning Grams,
I know your still probably snoozing, but I just wanted to come by and see how you were doing and feeling. It is another cold morning here. It is 21 degrees right now. Another cold blast will be here tonight and another chance of freezing rain on Friday. Yeah right. LOL. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and praying for you still and I do miss you. You take care and visit when you can. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
