June 5th Blogging for One Year!!

This is my anniversary for my blog!! The post below is the very first post I wrote a year ago today!!! I came kicking and screaming into blogland saying there is no way I can do this I have not one thing to say!!! But low and behold I guess I did!!

You may have notice that I am not posting as often as I did or comming out to visit each and every day and leaving comments!!!! Well, I found out when we were with out a computer this winter I was making may self nuts trying to do this!!! Now, I have slowed down and I feel so less stressed and it is fun again!! With taking care of Nancy and all this entails it is better this way! And like they say if Grams is happy every body's happy!!

I have really enjoyed making all the new friends out here in blogland! What wonderful caring people you all are!! Praying people too!! Thanks to every one who has given me an award this past year!! For all the sweet buttons or icons too!! The icon or button on my blog is from my dear friend Denise at ShortyBearsPlace. She is an inspiration to us all!! Thanks for all your prayers for my family this past year!! You all have blessed me so much by being such lovely caring friends!

I think you are suppose to have a giveaway or something when you reach a mile stone like this so I will have to look into this and see how it is done!! So here is my very first post.

Hi everyone. I've never done this before...I've read a lot of wonderful blogs and decided it was time for me to begin. On this blog you will learn about my family, my faith, and my favorite bloggers! I am a mother of five children. I have four daughters and one son! I have five grand kids and two great-grand babies, but in just a few weeks I will have three great-grand babies! My oldest daughter, Carrie, is a missionary in Mexico and my son, Bill, is a Baptist preacher in central Missouri. I have a special needs daughter, Nancy, who also has Lupus. My daughter, Karen, just opened a restaurant called Beach Bums Cartoon Cafe. You will find a link to her web page on my blog. My youngest daughter, Kelly, works at a library and runs a photography studio.

WOW! Happy BLOGiversary Grams!!! I do NOT think it is customary to give anything out on for this occasion! I've never heard of that. Of course... I've never remembered to even announce ANY of my Blog landmarks! I'm over 900 posts and have never celebrated a hundred mark yet! I'm HOPING to catch it on the thousand mark! LOL! I don't even know what MONTH I started my blog... guess I'll have to go check! I think it was in Spring!

Anyway... I think you are absolutely RIGHT to cut back if you were driving yourself crazy! This IS supposed to be FUN! It's supposed to LIFT you UP - not tie you down!!! So... play when you want, and visit when you want! We'll all still BE here!

Woohoo, Happy 1st Blogiversary dear Carolyn:-)I am so glad that you started blogging and that our paths crossed...the friendships made through blogging is amazing! No, of course not, you don't need to have a giveaway to celebrate your blogiversary...some do, some don't! lol

I've also cut back on how many blogs I visit a day...I was starting to spend all hours of the day trying to visit everyone and I just couldn't keep doing that and still have a life! lol If we learn to go at our own pace, then all is fine:-)

Love you my friend! xoxo

Congratulations on your 1 year Blogiversary!! What a word!! I think it was just made up!! smile. Everyone has so enjoyed having you in our blog world. I know how it is. Sometimes you think my I need to blog and then think NO it is my blog and I can do it when I want!! You have to learn that and you are. I think I am going on 3 years in August. Plus I agree with Melli I dont think their is anywhere that you have to give anything away..just be you and celebrate.

Grams,

Happy one year blogaversary. I am so happy that we met. You are a dear friend.

Please drop over to my Writing Nook and pick up a little something that I made for my friends and readers.

I think it is best to blog when we want to and not feel compelled to blog everyday. It needs to remain fun. The world has too much stress and blogging shouldn't be stressful.

I love your Independence Day bear. He is darling. Have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Mary

Well, that sneaked up on us, didn't it? I'm so happy that I found you too. I think blogging should be approached with ease. No need to feel stressed if you can't get a post out or visit everyone every day. Do what makes you happy. I'm so glad Blogger now has delayed posting..I can get a couple ready and then not have to think about it. I was looking back through my history of posts and found a few drafts. They are counted in the 500 posts so I tried to finish some and delete others. I found a couple of MeMes so I've got those ready to go in the next few days.
While Honey Bear was weedeating out front a few weeks ago, a pebble broke our front storm door. This morning one broke the glass in the back door. Luckily this time its double glass so the inside is still intact. We still haven't replaced the front. Haven't been home long enough. The back, I think we'll just buy another storm door for it and not worry about it. We have to figure out a way to keep it from happening again. Course we've lived here 4 years. We have little paths in our back garden with pea gravel on them but he wasn't near there when it happened.
Have a great weekend,
Mama Bear
