Old Historic Building burns to the ground!

We had a fire in our town this week. The building was 96 years old and was owned by the oddfellows. It had been a restaurant, flower shop, liquor store, and a flea market and I don't know what else! No one was hurt but it destroyed a lot of history. Next door is the bank and it was not damaged at all. The building is now all rubble.

Nancy had more lab work done yesterday and I haven't heard back what the report said this time. She has to go every two weeks and have lab work done. She will see this Doctor in August and her lupus Doctor in Lee's Summit in August also. We see her KU lupus Doctor in July! I have it all written down or I would never be able to get it straight!
Thanks for all the Happy Birthday Wishes ! She had a lovely Birthday and she had a Big time at her Party!!

I always hate to see historic things like this get ruined. It's all from our past. Sad it had to burn to the ground.

I can see why you write it all down Grams, I would have to do the same. Hope she continues to do well tho. And keep us posted.

Question is: How ARE YOU doing?

Happy belated birthday to Nancy. I hate when an old historical site burns. There's so much history that is lost forever.

Hope you have a nice weekend.

Grams,

I am happy that Nancy enjoyed her birthday. I'm sure it was a fantastic day for her.

We had almost the entire side of one block burn a few years ago in the downtown. An arsonist. I'm surprised that the firemen were able to contain it as well as they did. All of the buildings were over 100 years old, but hadn't been well maintained. It's sad to see historic buildings burn.

Yes, I also have to write things down or I forget what I'm doing and where I'm supposed to be. It seems we have no appointments for months and then we have several in only one month.

Take care. Sorry I haven't been in touch, but there's lots going on here.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Grams,
I'm trying to catch up again today. I've had a busy week and I've been spending a lot of time with the grandkids. They will be back to school before you know it! Time flys!

Happy belated birthday to Nancy. I love the pictures of your and the kids. They are so precious. I spent 2 days helping with baby Josie and it wore me out!

I hope you're doing well. I think about you often even when I don't get to visit!

Love and Hugs,
Hope
