Awards and more about the olympics

I have been given some neat awards by my sweet friend Denise over at Shortybears Place! Thank you so much for thinking of me!! These are very special awards and I love them all!! I am so blessed to have so many wonderful blogging friends! I hate having to choose just a few of my blogging friends!! Too hard!! So if you are on my blog roll this is for YOU!! Thanks again dear Denise!!!

This last one is the Friendship award! How adorable!!

I have been watching a lot of the Olympics the past few days. Did you all see the swimming match relay on Sunday night! It was something to see! I think Michael Phelps led off and then two other swimmers, the last swimmer was Jason Lezak and he brought it home!!! They won the gold and this was one swim match they were worried about! The French had done a little trash talking saying the Americans could not win this relay. But they did!!! We were all going Go! Go! Go! Karen called to see what we thought when they won!!

Last night the men's gymnastics were thrilling! After the Hamm brothers were both injured and couldn't go to Beijing, two alternate were selected. Not to many thought they could metal at all and it came down to Alexander Artemew who scored high enough on the dreaded pommel horse to put our team in third place and they brought home a bronzed metal. They were just beyond happy!!!

I have watched men and women's beach volley ball, indoor volley ball ,soccer baseball, etc

Our local weather man on the NBC station is Gary Lezak and they have had a good time teasing him about the swimmer by that name wondering if they are kin folks. Lezak is not a name you hear every day!! Tonight the girls in gymnastics go for the Gold! Even if they don't get gold it will be neat to watch! As you can see I am really into this!!

I'm generally not much of a sports fan, but there is something about the Olympics. I didn't see the relay when they showed it, but I saw it on the NBC site the next day. So exciting! The men's gymnastics were, too!

Did you see the women's relay where Dana Torres, the 41-yr-old swimmer, came from behind to win?

I like the gymnastics and swimming the best. I wish the beach volleyball players were allowed more clothes, though!!

No, I have not watched. I was mistakenly thinking that they were coming on during the wee hours after the opening ceremonies were scheduled for 2:00 a.m. I do not watch TV as a role. I had seen that we had won medals on someone else's blog. Tonight I heard them talking about the swimmers on a news show. I really enjoy seeing the gymnasts especially the females.

Hey Grams....I've been watching the Olympics in the evening...especially Michael Phelps. I've been wishing he would swim faster so I could get to bed earlier. Miss you.

I have yet to watch any of the Olympic events. Shame on me, huh?

Hope your week is treating you good my friend. And, hope all in your family as well as you are doing well.

Good Morning Dear Lady, Thank you for the sweet empathy. I rejoice to think of that old hymn in our minds together sorta like singing in unison. The burning sensation is better this morning. The kids just got off to school without a hitch. I am glad it is Friday. I hope your week end is a delight to you.

I haven't had much time to watch the Olympics. Wish I had seen more of them!!! I always loved watching them, but just not enough time in a day anymore to do things I really enjoy, what with working 2 jobs and taking care of 33 cats!
LOL

I am happy to add the awards to my sidebar! Thank you, Grams! All the ones on my blog I have passed on to all my regular readers, so please hop over and take any you don't already have! Your blog is so deserving of them all!!!!
