Do You Make Common Spelling Mistakes?
I was very surprised by my score! I got 75% correct. I have a terrible time with spelling! I use the spell check deal at the top of my computer all the time. Glo and I laughed so hard about our spelling problems at the party! We don't know which one of us has a harder time with spelling! Now on this test they have the correct spelling and another word spelled wrong. So you can almost tell which one is wrong. Now if I would have been given the word without help I would have been in serious trouble! I am not kidding!
In fact when I first started blogging I would call up Karen, Kelly, or Sarah at work and not even say "Hello" just say How DO you Spell ????? They would say, Well hello, Mom or Grams and spell the word for me!!! Oh my, they teased me about this a lot!! Kelly put the spell check at the top of the google deal so I can check as I go along! It is better then the spell check on blogger!
When I was young I went to a one room Country school outside of Chillicothe Mo . My best friend, Joyce and I would give out spelling word to each other! Now she was a real speller! She went to the County Spelling Bee and I think she won! I remember giving her out list and list of words to spell!
She called me on my Birthday and we had so much fun reminiscing about when we went to Country School! This would have been 58 years ago! We made a beautiful box together for a pie and box supper. I think we had a program first, then we sang and put on a play! I think I always sang at the top of my lungs!! lol
Joyce's folks had a TV and we didn't! At lunch time we would sit outdoor in the fall and eat our lunches I always had tuna fish sandwiches and Joyce had cheese with pimento on hers. Joyce would fill me in on I Love Lucy and all the show she got to watch before bedtime! My Daddy didn't see any need for a TV until 1955! Of course when we got one he loved it! I think Gunsmoke was on by then which he really liked!
On a more serious note Denise over at Shortybears Place has been feeling really rough so if you have a minute run over there and say Hi! Denise we love you and are praying for you!

I'm a horrible speller! I think what hurt me was learning shorthand in high school. Now I spell in shorthandease!
Hope you are having a great day!
I was a pretty good speller at one time but the older I get, the less I can spell. I use the spell ck. too.
love, bj
I have always loved spelling but you know the older I get the more I forget..so i bought a little dictionary!! It is right here beside me when I write...
I love you so very much, bless you for caring about me. Thank you so much for the two sweet ecards.
I am just glad we do have spell check even in the email, or I'd be in trouble!
I enjoyed your memories of the country school and your friend Joyce.
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Love and Hugs,
Renie
Hey girl......just getting out for a while and wanted to thank you for the wonderful comment on my post. It is so encouraging to hear about prayer answered in a powerful way such as you shared.. I am up and praying again and refuse to do anything less...
Have a blessed and safe Labor day weekend girl.....
Love ya!
I'll have to take that when I am more awake. I loved spelling in elementary school but I know I have gotten rusty.
My third grade teacher told my mom that I would be a great novelist but I would have to hire a secretary to spell for me. Praise the Lord for spell check!
Okay.....now I'm gonna hafta go do this quiz to see what I get. I LOVE to spell. But, I haven't seen the words/or whatever the quiz hold in store for me.
Happy Sunday dear Grams!!!!

Your spelling is excellent.
You don't fall for common spelling pitfalls, and you spell almost everything correctly.
I didn't do as well as I thought I would...I'm wondering if it's because I'm French and some of the spelling is different here in Canada. I know, I'll use any excuse! LOL xoxo
Grams,
I have always excelled in spelling. I got 90%, so I must have chosen the wrong one somewhere along the line. I always got As in spelling at school. Of course that is a good thing since I write. A writer who has bad spelling is going to have a rough time editing his/her work.
Take care. Sorry I haven't been over to visit in a while. Life is hectic.
Blessings,
Mary
