Happy New Year!!

This is what I have been doing for the past week! Resting! This is a cute icon that Denise sent me a while back.Thank you!
I got my splint off last Wednesday and the Dr. said He wasn't putting a cast on it because my fingers were starting to freeze and not bend and they would end up like sticks if he did. I have had to soak my hand 2 or 3 times a day to keep it pliable. I just have to be careful not to knock my hand against anything!
I still have a goose egg on my hand but not so big now.
Thank you for your wonderful comments and well wishes for me and your precious comments for Kelly! She felt so bad about this!! But it was just one of those freaky things that happens!!
When I signed in tonight I see where Mary over at Mary's Writing Nook has been really sick. I am sorry to hear this I have to get all caught up again and see how all of you are getting along!
This week I go and see about the stents in my kidneys and how all that is doing.
Thanks again for all your wonderful prayers for me and my family!! I appreicate you all!!
I want to wish you all a very Blessed New Year!!!

As a rehab therapist I recommend that you keep exercising those fingers. Use your other hand to bend them and curl them. Rotate your thumb and bend it at the joint. Don't let them freeze up! Linda

Carolyn,

Happy New Year, my friend. I had a little catching up to do here as well. I'm so sorry you had this happen. It was just a fluke and Kelly shouldn't think anything of it. It looks like you took it all in stride.

Be sure to exercise those fingers so they will not freeze up.

I'm feeling a bit better...the antibiotics are working.

Thinking of you often and keeping you in my prayers.

Blessings,
Mary

Happy New Year, dearest Carolyn! I think a lot of us are behind with visiting, blame it on the holidays! lol As the others have said, make sure you exercise those fingers...I know how Kelly must have felt but as you said, these things happen and it's nobody's fault:-) Just know that you're in my prayers. xoxo

Just because there is no cast don't go crazy. I'm sure lots of typing may cause problems to your hand. You must take care.

I love the 'cuteboys' you have on your blog! Especially the "BBRRR" and "Welcome" ones - so cute!

It's "cold" today in Austin - 40's!

I worked today at Dillards - I got to help a man pick out a new tuxedo shirt to wear with his kilt! He's visiting from Scotland and said the shirt he has is "a wee bit small"! He was great - fabulous accent. I told him I was 1/4 Scottish - McSpadden. He said, "AYE! Your a 'lass' then!" So cool! Can't wait until I travel to Scotland myself and hear everyone speaking in that accent and leading them in praise and worship! I am believing and speaking that into being!

I am getting ready for bed in a minute. I have to get up at 6 am to be on stage by 8 am. I sing for both worship services! Best part of my week. We have fantastic songs for tomorrow too!

But then, I have inventory at Dillard's all night tomorrow night - 4pm - 4am! YUK!! I've been put in charge of my section AND - men's underwear! Why Not! Don, the older man in tailored suits, laughed and laughed at that!!!

I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know I'm praying for your quick 'restoration'! (Take your hand back to its original design and purpose!)

Let Nancy know - I still haven't had time to make my Christmas cards and think I'm just going to skip it at this point. It's so late and I have zero time!

I love you heeps and miss you too!

Keep working those fingers! I know it had to be a relief to get that splint off. But now you must be careful with it....

Wishing you a better 2009 than your 2008!
