New Bible Yea!!

I haven't posted for a few days! Kelly and I took Nancy to the Dentist yesterday. They didn't know what to do and gave me a letter to give to our Dr who in turn will call all of her other Dr.'s and see if she can be put to sleep or if she will have to have each tooth extracted one at a time and then back to the dentist for another one to be taken out. Nancy's health is so fragile that the thinking at this time is that it would be to much to put her through, by putting her in the hospital to have what she needs taken care of. She had a lot of infection in her teeth yesterday. It will be a while before I know what we will be doing.

On a more positive note Karen and Linda took me to the Joyce Myers's meeting at the Sprint Center in Down town Kansas City today. I have a Amplified Bible, Carrie gave me 27 years ago and it is held together with Duct tape!! I have been wanting a new one for a while and Karen bought me a new one today!! Yea!! I have a really nice New King James Version large print that I use a lot but I love my Amplified Bible! Karen said "Why didn't you tell me and I would have given you one at Christmas time"! It makes it much easier to understand I think.

Here is a wonderful verse : I thank God in all my remembrance of you. In every prayer of mine I always make entreaty and petition for you with all joy (delight). Phillippians 1: 3 and 4

I will enclude Nancy and her teeth problem in my prayers. It will be easy to remember as Thursday we found out our 20yr. will have to go to the hospital to have her teeth worked on. So when I pray for her teeth problem I'll include Nancy.

You lucky lady, to be able to see Joyce Meyers (I love her!) and get a new Amplified Bible the same day! That is wonderful. I have the Parallel Bible with KJV and Amplified, but got back to taking only the KJV to church because the parallel print is so hard to read under our lighting. And, I don't like to strain.

Will be praying for Nancy and the situation with her teeth.

Sweeeeet to have a new Bible! Do you ever use Bible Gateway online Grams? I LOVE it because you can switch back and forth between versions and I have found that while my book Bible is NIV, I really get good clarification from NLT and sometimes I even like The Message.

I have prayed for Nancy... and will continue to -- I do hope they get SOME solution worked out. I know she's in pain - because I had so much infection before having all MY teeth pulled... it was horrible!

Grams,

I'm glad you were able to get out and also glad that you have a new Bible. I had mine for many years. It is the one I carried when I married my first husband. I'd had it for over 40 years. One day I left it at church and it was never turned in. I really miss it as it had great sentimental value.

Praying, praying for Nancy.
Blessings,
Mary

Oh your too funny...My bible is also stuck together with tape. I love my study bible I know right where everything is and can just open up to it. I get teased that I am prideful with it. I just love it for it has been such a great comfort and friend for 20+ years I hate to let go of it.
I am so sorry to hear of the suffering she is going through with her teeth. Getting rid of that infection though could really improve her health.

Hi Grams!!! Boy it's been a long time no see for me visiting, huh?

That's too bad that Nancy is in such pain with her infections...wish they could figure out something that will rid her of all of it without going through so much when she's so fragile herself. Y'know?

Oh your bible sounds like my mothers!! I have her bible and it's on display on our family wall....it's so frail and had a lot of good use over the years!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day my friend.

I love the New Living Translation. I wore out a paperback and got a slimline with red lettering. Last November Honey Bear rolled our luggage to the car at a motel, it was windy and the parking lot was down hill. Well the cart rolled down the hill and turned over. My Bible got soaked at the bottom. It no longer looks new. It takes a while with a new one to be familiar with where to find things. It gets easier as they become well thumbed. Enjoy yours.
I hope things work out so Nancy can be sedated for her dental work. It makes it so much easier to endure.

How great that Karen bought you a new bible. A got a new one a few years ago. I got the NIV which I can understand more clearly. Mine is called The Women of the Bible and each book provides an in depth look at the roles of the women.

I'll be praying for Nancy.
