A Day Trip to HA HA Tonka State Park

Karen Called yesterday morning and as she was talking to Kelly I heard Kelly say "That not to far of a drive" I was on that like a duck on June bug!!! I said "Where are you going" "Who is going"? Can Nancy and me go too!!! The answer to this was Yes!! After this past month or so with Nancy health so poor we were all ready for a day or FUN!! So we took off for a day down in the Ozarks!! I have a bunch of pictures here but none of Karen who doesn't want any of her put on my blog until she loses 12 more pounds and we can publish a before and after picture. She has lost 88 pounds so far!!! I am so proud of her.
It was a very fun day but very very HOT! We drove through Osage Beach after our picnic. which has a huge outlet mall and then on to Bagnell Dam. We were home by 10:00.

Grams and Nancy on the trail which by the
way was very handicap assessable!
The trail was paved and easy to walk on!! It was uphill to the
castle but comming down was a lot easier!!

a place to come and relax from the strains of his business!

My head did a double take when I saw this post! Why? Cuz when I lived in Minneapolis, I lived near Lake MinneTONKA, which fed into MinneHAHA Creek... and the park near the lake was either Minnetonka Park or Minnehaha Falls Park... not sure! Anyway - lots of Tonka's and Haha's! And the Tonka Truck & Car factory is out there too!

Looks like you guys had a GREAT day at the park! And Nancy looks GOOD!!! That is great!

I can't WAIT to see the pictures of Karen! I bet she is really lookin' good!

You know what? Although Cliff's relatives are from the lake area (Versailles and Eldon), we've never been to that park. Sounds like an idea for a motorcycle ride!

Great pictures.

Grams,

What great photos of a wonderful day. I'm so glad your family could have this outing. I know it's been a while since you got away. I've seen the Ozarks and they are beautiful. We were in Arkansas and Missouri in 2005 and I love the area.

I read the previous post and praise God that Nancy's blood count is up. That's great news. Continuing to pray for your both. What a great weight loss on Karen's part. Tell her congratulations.

I'm so glad you are posting again. I've missed hearing all of your news.
Blessings,
Mary

I know you were ready for this outing. Looks like it was good for all.
Yes, there is lots to do and I am trying not to stress about it because I know the end result is that I'll be back home near my daughter. One advantage is that we've got to sale our house so we can take our time packing unless God sends us a buyer right away. If He did, I'd be so happy, I would probably hire help. I'll do a little of that anyway. This is one time I wish my sisters, nieces and sister by law were close by. They were such a big help when we were packing up our parents' stuff.

Hi Grams,

What beautiful pictures of your outing. It sure looks pretty there, but then, all the Ozarks are scenic and lovely, and I'm glad I live here.

You all look like you enjoyed the outing. I love day trips. Getting away and commuting with nature a bit is so refreshing.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures. Have a great evening.

Love and Hugs,

Renie
