Kayaking At the Niangua River! Hiking at the State Park! Not me!! Karen and Kelly!!!

Karen, Kelly, my grand-daughter Sarah and her friend Chantel all went to Southern Missouri this past weekend on a hiking - kayaking fun trip!!! I have shared some of the pictures of them having a good time! The kayaking trip was on the little Niangua River. Last year we went down to Ha Ha Tonka State Park and the girls liked it so much they went back! They hiked through some of it and it wasn't so hot the two days they were there. Last year, when Nancy and I went, it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year!!

Hi Carolyn! I like that you clarified it wasn't you that was hiking but Kelly and Karen!

Those photos and the photos of KC sure make me homesick! UGH! (Although I told Karen that water looks "icky" and I wouldn't have gone in it!)

I miss you all so much! Austin is way too far away! It's only 101 degrees here today - you should come see me! (It's a DRY heat!!! HA!)

Tell Nancy I just dropped her birthday card in the mail today so I don't know if it'll get there by Thursday but it is on the way!!!! I did NOT forget her!

I miss you heeps and love ya more!

Hi Grams, It sure looks like they had a good time. I love visiting state parks. I like the scenery and hiking...but you won't get me on the water....I can't swim and I'm afraid of the water....the only thing I have to do with the water is fishing.

Oh what fun they seemed to be having! My son Corey goes on canoe trips every year with a bunch of friends and he has also gone kayaking quite a few times:-) I so enjoyed looking at the pictures!! xoxo
