We were up early this morning, I told Carrie we would deposit a check for her at the bank this morning in a town not to far from here.
While we were gone on our trip she needed this done, I couldn't do this until Tuesday, and we were able to find the same Bank she has in Chattanooga TN. We drove into town at 4:30PM and I thought we had until 5:00. Karen stopped and asked a lady, "Do you know where there is a Bank of America"? She had a lovely southern drawl that we will not soon forget!!! She said," We don't have one here, You will have to go into TOOWWWWNNN to find one"!!! Just take the road to your right and follow it to town............... Karen thanked her and we followed the road all the way up the mountain!!!! Karen was starting to think she had told us wrong and was going to turn around when low and behold there was a curve in the road and we began a long decent down the mountain and into TOWN!!!
Kelly spotted the bank and we drove over and they had closed at 4:00 pm !! If I had grabbed a envelope from home this would have been easy but of course I didn't! The bank was out of them..... So we saw a another little drive thu thingy over at the side at the same bank that had envelopes and Kelly ran over there but before she could get there a little old lady like me drove up and did her entire banking for the last 3 months!!
Well, that is what it seemed like!! We waited and waited. Kelly came over to where we were parked to wait for the little lady to finish and another car drove up over there and Kelly walked over there and get in line again and it ticked off the man who was in the car behind her and he started cussing her out !!!
Karen told her" Kelly come here a minute and we had had run over to a Walgreen's not to far away to a buy envelopes!! She did and we were able to deposit Carrie 's money and be on our way to the Smoky Mountains!!
Karen said that the other drive thu thing had a deal that you put your check and deposit slip in with out envelopes and I said, " No! No!"I am not putting checks in that thing!!! I have never seen any thing like that before and being sometimes old timey I would not hear to it!!!!! So we used envelopes!!! We sure won't forget Chattanooga any time soon!!
