Beautiful Fall Day!

It is a beautiful fall day! 68 degrees! I love it! Kelly threw open all the windows and doors! I have a large picture in the bathroom or should I say I did have a large picture!!! The wind gave a great gust and down it came. It has been hanging there for years, so I don't know why this time a breeze swept it away on the floor! Shattered glass everywhere!! Kelly cleaned it all up but what a mess!! It is still a beautiful day!!!

Here is a prayer request from Denise at Samaritan Women. Denise's niece Sandy Jackson just had a new baby boy last week and she now is going to have open heart surgery. Please pray for Sandy and her husband and the new baby Hayden. Thanks!

I sure want to Welcome Back, Denise over at Shortybears Place! We all missed her so much while she was getting better from pneumonia. It was so good to read her comment last night and see she was back again!! If you haven't been over to say Hello, I know she would love to hear from you!

Nancy saw the GI specialist yesterday. He said she must have a MRI before he can go ahead with this. He said her health is so unstable that he didn't want to do any unnecessary surgery. He needs to make sure she really needs the gall stones out before he recommends surgery.

He asked me what I thought about her getting a MRI and I crossed my fingers and said we can try. I really don't know how she will do. She will go next week for her MRI. I sure would appreciate prayer for her. Thanks for your many prayers!!

Kansas City Won their First Game of the season!!!

I love Peanuts and the gang! Nancy loves to watch the Charlie Brown special The Great Pumpkin. We watch this every year.

This week we will find out what the specialist wants to do about her gall stones. She has not had as much pain as she did at first. This has been a blessing.

We had a much more peaceful week then last week. We were able to get some much needed rest. The week before we had a three hospital tests/consultations and two visits to the Doctor.

Thanks for your prayers!! When everything is peaceful in your heart you can really get through the Day or Night!!

Kansas City just beat Denver 33-19!!! We had not won a game since last Oct!! We had lost 12 games in a row! So this was Sweet!! I am so glad to see them play with some passion! We have many rookies who are learning and hopefully they are getting into the swing of things!!

Baby Kevin in the Doll House!

Hello, on this fine Friday! It is 81 degrees in this part of Missouri today and not very fall like at all. I think by next week the temperature is suppose to get back down in the sixty's and that sounds much better!

I have a couple of awards below to pass out today.

This cute award is from my friend Mary over at Mary's Writing Nook Thanks Mary for a cute award! Please feel free fo take this adorable award.

This too is from my friend Mary at Mary's Writing Nook! Best Friends Forever Award. Let me tell you Mary has indeed been a wonderful friend to me these past few weeks. I was so upset for a day or two when finding out about our medical needs. Mary wrote me two or three times daily with such encouraging words that were so helpful! Thanks Mary!!!
If you are on my blog roll please take this for your side bar!

I found the file with darling little Kevin's picture. He is 14 months old and loves to follow his big sister Valerie around every where she goes.He loves her dolly house as much as she does! He likes to sit in it, too!
Kevin

This is Kevin sitting in the dolly House playing! Grandpa and Grandma down in Mexico not to worry he loves playing with boy stuff, too!!!
He loves airplanes and cars and trucks. Kevin's little brother Marcello will soon be 4 months old. Marcello is as cute as button! I think this will be something when he gets a little bigger with two little boys a year apart playing and running around chasing each other! Jeremy and Sofia are blessed for sure!

Nancy and I have our test results!

Today I had a consultation with the Dr.who will be doing a peripheral Angioplasty on my legs. This procedure helps open blockages in the peripheral arteries. These vessels carry blood to your lower body and legs.
Between Nancy and me, we have been to the Dr. or for test at the hospital every day this week!!
I will be have this procedure done on my legs sometime in Oct. When I had my test this week the technician was unable to get a blood pressure on my ankles. The Dr.told me it was very low blood flow. But we are going to fix this when I have my Angioplasty they will put stents in my arteries to help the blood flow.
On Monday I had to take Nancy to the Dr. again, because of the pain in her upper right side. The Dr. had her go to the Hospital for a test for her gall bladder and they called me as soon as we were home and said that she had gall stones. That is why she had all the pain. We are in the process of getting her an appointment with the GI Doctor.
Let me tell you yesterday I felt like this was just to much!
But now I feel like we will get through this with the Lord guiding us all the way.
Please pray for both of us. Thanks!

She is a United States Citizen!!!

My grand daughter in law Sofia was sworn in as a United States Citizen this morning! I know I said I would have pictures but in all the hub bub of getting ready with three kids and the oldest being 3 they forgot the camera!
Some one else took pictures during the swearing in and Jeremy gave them his E-mail address. Hopefully they will send a picture to them!

There were 41 people there to take the oath and 26 countries represented!
Kelly is baking an Apple pie for them and Karen is stopping by and getting red, white, and blue balloons to give to our new citizen!!! We our so proud of her!

In other news I had my test for Harding of the Arteries yesterday. The tech could not get a blood pressure for my ankles. Very low blood flow. So I am set for a consultation with the specialist soon. To decide what they will do. I will keep you all updated on this. Thanks for your prayers for us!!

It is a beautiful day! It is not raining! Praise God!

While I had some time I have been working on my blog. I think it was Friday night when Nancy was sleeping and I had a some time I put blogger's names on a new deal called My Blog List. Ok, I went over board and I put almost every one on my blog list on this new deal and I didn't check it out until I was almost finished and, OH MY GOODNESS!! It took 5 or 6 minutes to load my blog page!!!

So I took every one off and I started all over again on Saturday morning and added three. Now I have added a few more to my side bar and it loads fine. I will keep adding more blog friends but a few at a time!!! I don't want anyone to have to wait that long to see my blog!!!

Tonight is the big picnic for the new Hispanic church that the AOG is starting in our town and my grandson is the going to be the pastor for the new Hispanic church.

Karen and Kelly planned to attend and support Jeremy and Sofia. Karen and Kelly go to another church but they are behind Jey and Sofia desire to win the hispanics in our community and surrounding community's to the Lord.

I am praying this takes off because in our area we have a large Hispanic population.

My granddaughter in law is from Mexico and on Wednesday is her BIG Day!! She will be sworn in as United Stated Citizen!!! I am so proud of her! She has studied so hard for her test and she past with flying colors!

I have told them they must take pictures of her being sworn in and I will post them on my blog. I am so excited about this.
Remember Nancy and me in your prayers we still have health issues. Thanks!

A Sweet Award From Shortybear!

My dear Friend Denise blessed me with a lovely award. To translate the gift from Portuguese to English, it means:"This blog invests and believes, the proximity"[meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy] How awesome is that??

"They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Go here and scroll down a little ways to read more about this award.
Then let's try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.
Thank you so very much for thinking of me Denise I appreciate your friendship so much!!
So, I want to pass this award on to the following 8 bloggers.
You know how much I hate to have to choose just a few bloggers I think all my blogging friends are close, but here goes!

Thursday

Thinking today about all of the people who lost their lives 7 years ago today.

I am also thinking about the people who live on the Texas Gulf Coast. It sure doesn't sound very good for them. I will be praying for you all who live along there.
Nancy had to go see the Dr. yesterday. She had an ear infection and her shoulder was hurting with arthritis. The Dr. gave her patches for her shoulder and I got ear drops that the Dr. prescribed for her. This cost a bag of gold!!! She is wanting my attention a lot today so this is going to be short!!

Good and bad news from the Doctor!

Yesterday was my day to go see the Doctor for my three month check up. Well, I had good news and bad news!! The good news is; the Doctors office called this morning and my cholesterol levels on everything the good and the bad were normal!!

My sugars were in the normal range too!! The nurse said the Dr was so pleased with my lab report. I am too!

Ok,my bad news was that my blood pressure was high and the Dr was very concerned. NO SALT or salt substitute! Just a little Mrs. Dash. I think I love salt more then sweets! oh, who knows I love them both!!

Remember I posted a while back, that I had Harding of the arteries. The Dr had a hard time hearing any pulse in my legs. It was very faint. So he has ordered a test on my legs called a articular Doppler Ultrasound . It can reveal blood clots in leg veins (deep vein thrombosis, or DVT) that could break loose and block blood flow to the lungs (pulmonary embolism). See an illustration of a stroke and an embolus.

I have this test next week. I just found the web site on Web MD that tells all about this Go here if you would like to read about it.

Well I am happy I haven't been adding to the problem that my cholesterol
level was normal. Ok, enough about my health.

The weather is beautiful !! It was down to 50 degrees last night and it is so good to sleep with no AC and be cool with outside air. I love fall!

She has awarded me with the Special Friendship Award that I have on the top of my side bar. I love it also, and it meant a lot to me! I am blessed to be her friend!

It is fall like out side today! 59 degrees this morning! Thank you Mary for such a neat award!! She said we could pass the Autumn Friendship Award on if we would like to, and so if you would like to have this adorable award please take it and pass it on to your blogging friends!!

I must hurry now because Karen is having a garage sale today. Our town has a garage sale in the spring and one in the fall and this is the day!!
She called a few minutes ago and said Nancy had sold 6.00 of her stuff so far and to Nancy that is like who knows 60.00, she is SO happy! We are going over there for a little while so I will end this up and say once again Thank you Mary, for giving me such nice awards.

Home from the garage sale! They did good! It did start raining so that about did it for this year!
Glo just called me and said to tell everyone "Hello" from her.
She is missing everyone and is working on getting a server. She said, "Thanks to all the bloggers for praying about Mike's brother."
I sure enjoyed talking to her! Nancy likes Glo and wants to tell her everything that she can think of that is going on! Glo is so nice to her and can interact with her with patience and kindness.

Hello on Thursday

I didn't mean to almost take a bloggy break this week but it has almost worked out that I have been on a break!!
After I had written the last post,Karen read it and said,"Mom it sounds like you are just dying to go to Santa Cali Gon Days"!! So Kelly and Karen threw 2 wheel chairs in the back of her pickup truck and away we went!!

We sure had a good time! We were able to go through a couple of the huge tents that are jammed packed with craft booths! Nancy was able to buy a little pumpkin bell with little leaves around it. The girls pushed us around the square in Independence!

There were tons of booths with every kind of craft you would want to see or buy. They were also able to push us up around the courthouse where some of the best booth's are located. I was so pleased to get to be up there. In fact Kelly had her cell phone and took my picture by the old courthouse. When she gets time she will get it on the computer for me.

This afternoon she is teaching her first class in photography at the library. She has been working on this for quite a while and I think she will do just fine.

I think tomorrow I will be able to get out and about and do some bloggy visiting!!
