Being a Blessing at Christmas

Mary at Mary's writting nook and Sharon at Sit With Me Awhile are hosting Being a Blessing at Christmas today.
This is the day we are to share what we have done to be a blessing to others at this Christmas season. This is what I did. I gave money for my grandson in Guadalajara
Mexico. John goes out each Saturday to the very poor district of the city. He takes food with him and passes it out and the children are delighted to be fed. This is a real treat for these children who don't have have much. He also takes along his guitar and plays it and sings song for the kids. He also shares about God's love to all the kids. He tells them about Jesus and what He has done for them! This past Saturday, John was able to feed 70 kids!!! Kelly made this great picture deal for me!!
We are under another winter weather advisory and more freezing rain is in the forecast! I am praying it warms up and goes around us.

Oh Grams! This is beautiful. Your grandson has quite a ministry. Remind me next year and I will donate to this.

You are a true blessing to me, my friend. I thank God everyday for our friendship.

Thank you so much for joining hands with Sharon and I to Let HIS Light Shine.

Blessings,
Mary

Good Afternoon Grams,
What a beautiful post and very touching. I know you are proud of him for doing this. It saddens my heart to see people like this, but I'm Thankful there are people who have the finances to help them out. It is such a blessing to see the smiles on those children's faces. I seen on the Weather Channel earlier where yall might get some more ICE. I hope not either. Northwest Arkansas has some ICE too and I think the roads are bad there. I just hope it doesn't move over here. It is 40 degrees here right now. It's another foggy day and rainy outside. They are calling for rain and warmer temperatures. If these temps don't start warming up, who knows what will happen. Well, take care my friend and have a great Monday. May God Bless You. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful story with us.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
P.S. Don't get out if you don't have to. Stay inside and stay warm.

How cool!
It is so great to be able to put a face to the ones you are touching. And how great that this is an on going ministry. I know you are proud of your grandson.

Stay warm. We are having a warm spell here. It has been in the high 70's. We will have this until Friday and then we will get down to the 50's.
No snow and no ice. You can send a little this way if you like. :)

Hi Grams,
Wow what a wonderful ministry John is doing. That is just wonderful and I know you're very proud of him. We all need to be more thankful now and all the year for everything we have.
We are having warm (rain earlier) weather here in VA and the weatherman says up in the 70's later in the week! I can't imagine all your ice right now.
Try to stay warm!
Hope

Such a beautiful story to remind us what this season is really about. The pictures of your grandson with the children are beautiful, but what is more touching is the love you can see in their eyes toward him. He must surely touch their hearts. He is a very special person - we need many more like him in this world!!!

Breaks my heart when I think of children being hungry! Thank God for people like your grandson who care enough to help them and for you to donate money to him in that endeavor. Oh dear, I'd heard on the news about the ice storms going on around there...please stay safe!! xoxo
