Christmas Blessings!

We had a wonderful blessing for our family last night. Nancy's chemo nurse from a couple of years ago called me a few weeks ago and said she and her friend were trying to teach their kids that Christmas is more then X boxes and a new video games. She asked if it would be okay if she and her friend and her friends kids could come over before Christmas and brings some gifts for Nancy, Kelly and me!

I said this would be great! Last night here they came like Santa in a sleigh jingling all the way!! She is a very giggly bubbly person with a great personality You would have to know Robin to know that I really mean this!!!

They came in with their kids laden down with gifts in all their arms! The kids were so precious! The boys were about 9 years old and they were so adorable carrying in the gifts! The little 7 year old girl was so cute and I guess she had helped wrapped and choose some of the gifts!!

We were so blessed by the their generosity that it brought me to tears!! What a lovely thoughtful way to be a blessing to someone at this time of the year!!
I thought I would have to scrape Nancy off the walls she was so excited!! She received two bags of socks and color books and dot to dot books and lotions! She wanted a nutcracker and they had got one for her! I put some of her gifts up for Christmas morning! We are so blessed by their kindness!

Back a couple of years ago when we found out Nancy had to have 6 months of chemo's treatment I had everyone I could think of praying for the right chemo nurse to be there for Nancy!
God answered our prayers with Robin and she said, at the time I want to do all of Nancy's chemo for the rest of the time and the nursing staff worked this out so she could!! She was able to make this so much fun for a special needs person that Nancy went around telling every body I love my chemo treatments!

I would have to explain to people that Robin made it enjoyable for her! She would buy her large Dr. Peppers drinks and make huge turkey sandwiches! We have been so blessed to have had two of the nicest chemo nurses at both hospital both times for her treatment of Lupus. We are so Blessed this Christmas to have Nancy stable, not worse,we would love for her to be better, but stable is good! Because last Christmas she was worse!! Praise God!!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!

That was a special thing for the nurse to do and it gave the children a chance to participate in the joy of giving, the true meaning of Christmas.
I'm so glad things are going well for all of you this Christmas.
Blessings,

Good Evening Grams,
Oh my goodness, could you please pass me the Kleenex box again? LOL. I am just at a loss of words here. I'm so glad that Robin was the Angel for Nancy. "PRAISE GOD". It was so good of Robin to teach those kids about the real meaning of Christmas. I'm glad you all had a good time and enjoyed it. I am glad with you that Nancy is stable this year. "PRAISE GOD" again. I probably won't post anymore till after Christmas. I have so much to do and very little time to get it all done. "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to you and yours from our Family. Thank you so much for sharing a beautiful and touching story. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Lots of Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
Give Nancy a big ole hug from me.

Dearest Carolyn,

Catching up with your last couple of posts! I'm so glad to hear that Kelly had such a wonderful birthday and going to see the Christmas lights must have been so much fun...I love doing that:-) I'm really thrilled that she made some of the candy recipes I had posted...I've been making them for over 30 years, they truly are all my family's favourites!!

I wish there were more people like Robin in this world! She sounds like a truly wonderful person and teaching her children the true meaning of Christmas by GIVING is so very special. I can just imagine how excited Nancy was about it all:-) xoxo

Carolyn, this has to be one of the best Holiday Stories to come around all month!

I was just as elated as Nancy was, I'm sure, just me reading about all the gifts and your tears of joy.

Blessings come is small packages, like dynamite I'm told, ---And seems to me Robin is the small package of blessings! Life works wonders sometimes and it really tends to humble us, doesn't it?

Praise God that your prayers were answered and this wonderful chemo nurse came into yours and Nancy's lives. She is a very special lady and you have been truly blessed.

Sorry I haven't been over to visit in a while. Things are chaotic here with Christmas things to do and getting ready for the trip. Please pray that our trip is safe and uneventful.

Merry Christmas, my dear friend.

Love and hugs,
Mary
