Our Christmas

Girly Comments & Graphic

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We did! On Sunday we all went over to the kids Dad's for Christmas at their house. When we were first divorced I stayed home on Christmas Eve and got everything ready for the next day. I always called my Mom and we visited while I was waiting for the girls to come home. After Mom was gone, they started inviting me to come along, too. Bill,Becky and their family came too. After we opened gifts the kids Dad, had bought Deli trays and we had all kinds of meats and cheeses to choose from.

We came home and one of the girls from the sheltered work shop where Nancy worked for many years came over with her Mother and they exchanged gifts. We had a wonderful time visiting with them.We always have such a fun time with them.

On Christmas Eve we went up to Jeremy and Sofia to be with them and her Mother and Dad who had flew in from Mexico on the 20th! They had brought along one of their grand daughter who is eight years old and so cute! Sofia had a huge turkey in the oven and all kinds of wonderful food cooking!! We ate and ate and visited and then we opened gifts with the little great grand kids! OH What a joy that was!! Valerie and Kevin were adorable!! Karen had given baby Kevin a little tiny rubber hammer and Valerie grabbed it and took off for a wall that she had seen her Daddy hammering up a star!! She just loved it!!

Karen came over on Christmas morning and we opened our gifts and Nancy was a buzz over all her gifts and she is so fun to watch!! She liked everything ! Bill Becky and their family came up and Becky's Mom came too!!

Kelly cooked a ham and had mashed potato's, green bean casserole, sweet potato's, corn pudding, hot rolls, Becky brought a brisket and BBQ beans and some other stuff!! Kelly did a really did a good job and every one thought she did great! She had made all kinds of desserts!

We opened gifts with Bill's and that was fun too!! Jake left for a skiing trip to CO this morning that he was really looking forward too!! The girls and Sarah took off for the movies and saw the new national treasure movie. While they were gone our neighbor and his boys dropped in for a few minutes to exchange gifts with Nancy and of course that made Nancy's Christmas complete!! I talked a couple of times with the family in Guadalajara. They were all missing us and wishing they were all up here too!! We are hoping it works out next year they can all be here to have Christmas with us and their son's family's! We will post Christmas pictures later!!

I slept most of the afternoon today! No kidding! I shut my eyes and I was out!! Maybe on Thursday or Friday I will get out to all the blogs and catch up on your Christmas and read about what a lovely time you all had on Christmas!!

Good Evening Grams,
I'm so glad yall had a wonderful Christmas. I'm glad Nancy had a great time also. The food yall had sounds so yummy. I slept pretty much off and on all day yesterday myself. I've been doing laundry all afternoon. I have my last load for tonight in the dryer. I'll do the rest tomorrow. Did you by any chance take any pictures? I hope you did and I hope that you will share them with us. Take care my friend and have a great evening. Get caught up on your sleep. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Carolyn,

I'm glad that you and your family had such a wonderful Christmas. It's good to know you had a lot of fun and so much good food.

I spent my day getting ready for the trip - cleaning and doing laundry etc. Still not feeling up to snuff, but am hoping those Florida breezes make me feel better.

I'm glad you had a nap today. I did that yesterday. We came home from having brunch and exchanging gifts with the boys and their parents and off I went to sleep for two hours. It felt good.

Happy New Year to you and the girls. Please pray for a safe trip for us.

Blessings,
Mary

Sounds like you had a very eventful Christmas with friends and family. Our's was quiet and low key with my mom who knows how to spoil us with her cooking. Missed you. I pray that your New Year is a healthy one.

Wow, Grams. Your Christmas just goes on and on and on....lol!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it all and your family sounds great!!

When my ex and I divorced (one of those friendly divorces!) we decided we would be adults and still get together with the kids and grandkids for their sake. It all worked out great for years until he remarried.:)

I hope we get to see pics!! Have a great day!

Hugs,
Hope

I enjoyed reading about all your celebrations. Sounds like the food was plentiful as it was where we were and still the goodies continue. Now I am going to look at Girly Graphics and get me some more bears.

Hi Grams!! Boy, it seems like I've been away from my friends for eons, but it's only been a few days.

Sounds to me like your holiday was a grand affair, and oh so warm and loving....as is your family!!
